How do I accept my student(s)’ summer learning invitation?
You will accept your student(s)’ invitation through Infinite Campus Parent Portal once you receive your invitation letter or call.
What if I do not have or remember my Infinite Campus login?
If you do not have an Infinite Campus portal account or do not remember your password, please reach out to your home school.
Is there a cost for my child to attend the summer learning program?
No.
I received a letter saying my student should attend the Summer Learning Program but he/she will not be able to attend. What should I do?
If you have a current K-12th grade student and you have received an invitation from your school site to attend, but your student will not be able to attend, please go into your Infinite Campus parent portal and click “Decline”. If additional assistance is needed, please contact your student’s home school.
Will transportation be provided?
Transportation for summer learning will be provided for each school site for eligible students. Information will be shared with families once routes have been determined and shared from the school sites. Transportation will be available from the home school for students who do not qualify for transportation to the school site.
*Please note, no additional routing will be done after the enrollment deadline on May 17th.
Will food service be provided?
Breakfast and lunch will be free for K-12 students attending summer learning. Lunch and breakfast will continue to be served in accordance with current USDA nutritional guidelines.
What if my student needs special dietary modifications?
If your student(s) was approved for a special diet during SY 2023-2024, please indicate in the application to receive dietary modifications for summer learning.
What will be the curriculum focus for my student during summer learning?

Will my high school student be able to continue in credit recovery courses during the month of July?
Yes, students who began credit recovery courses in June and need to continue into July will be able to complete their courses virtually.
Is bus transportation provided for my high school student?
Bus transportation will be available for all high school students that meet eligibility.
Will Kidzone be offered to my students during the summer?
This will be offered for all elementary students at certain school sites. More information will be provided in the near future regarding this program.
My student has a 504 plan during the regular school year. Will my student still receive accommodations outlined in that plan?
Yes, general education staff will have access to the 504 plan and offer the accommodations and supports noted.
My student receives Special Education services based on the IEP during the regular school year AND did not qualify for Special Education Extended School Year (ESY).

Will my student be able to attend the summer learning program in the general education setting?
Yes. Students with disabilities may attend Summer Learning offered through general education with accommodations and modifications only. They will attend with general education peers and will not have access to a special education direct service. Special Education students who have met the criteria for the Summer Learning Program, and will need to accept their acceptance letter via Infinite Campus Parent Portal. My student receives Special Education services during the regular school year in a specialized program setting such as SAILS/Lifeskills, STEPS/Autism AND qualified for SPED ESY services. How will I know where my student will attend to receive those services?
You will be notified which ESY site your student will attend based on the location/program that best meets your student's needs. The service delivery outlined in the IEP for ESY (e.g., minutes and days) will be provided in June.
My student receives ESOL services. Will there be ESOL services provided during summer sessions?
Yes, ESOL services will be provided at elementary and middle school during the summer school sessions. If you have any questions, please contact the Department of Multilingual Education and Services at 913-627-5626.
